Guest gavboy Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 Simple question - Is it possible to switch off GPRS without turning the phone off?
Guest jfran Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 press and hold the red hangup key for a few seconds and that should disconnect whatever GPRS connections are active. Do bear in mind that a big G just means that GPRS is available and that you are not actually connected. HTH rgds Jim
Guest MitchellO Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 Yeah, the "G" in the taskbar simply indicates GPRS reception, not an actual connection. A connection is indicated by two arrows and a small G below them.
Guest gavboy Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 What about switching it off so that it can't connect if, for example, you start internet explorer. Is this possible?
Guest En_croute Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 Connections/Advanced/Select Networks Set your connections to use My ISP, rather than GPRS. (I think that's it...)

Is this possible? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> u could configure it to the another networks settings and when you enter the internet per se it will connect and fail.... baring that the other way would be to have your service provider remove gprs from you account rgds jim
Guest MitchellO Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 Yep, just change which network it defaults to.
