Never mind this minor firmware update, Orange UK should give us Windows Mobile 5.0 see here :- http://www.msmobiles.com/news.php/3848.html but sadly I don't see this happening from Orange.

:idea: Maybe... they because of the delay in releasing the new Rom with WMP10, they have decided to abandon the idea altogether and provide us all with a WM2005 Rom instead. :?:

its a little optomistic - but perhaps thats what the delay is about - perhaps they're giving up windows 5.0 - it'll never happen.... still nice thought

1. I too would expect France to get the release first. I would also expect UK staff to be aware of the situation.

Hmm - sadly corporate takeovers are never that happy. :P I worked for many years with France Telecom on a project - they'd just taken over a UK company that shall remain nameless. It was actually a very pleasant experience. I found the French engineers to be happy, very clever, honest and diligent (even with their compulsory 1 hour lunch breaks!). By comparison. the UK counterparts were resentful (of the takeover I suspect), underhand, moody, and no where near as good technically. Perhaps this is what's going on here? Perhaps Orange UK are sulking and when they stop sulking, the code they churn out is pants anyway? :shock:

... My whinge is purely about Orange's corporate culture of ignorance and misinformation.
