Guest ronswens Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 This tweak would be great if: 1. It didnt change my keypad tone from silent to very low. 2. If it didnt slow my phone down and make keypresses sluggish. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 1. Unfortunately tweak will not work if you don't put "p" in Script, I believe "p" stands for "play", that's why you hear the sound of keypresses now. I can suggest 2 workarounds. First is setting System sound volume to 0 in the profile settings and second is pointing to silent wav file. 2. Sorry to hear that. Are you sure you made all changes right? "pf0" for Keypress? what phone do you have?
Guest ronswens Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 fully unlocked C500 and I'm using mobile registry editor to edit the registry from my pc <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Export Sounds keys and attach the zipped file to your next post. I will look into it.
Guest danmancs Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 the keypress key is as it is bacause I have changed it back to 'none' in settings.. Cheers, much appreciated. Guest eikie Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 (edited) Sorry, probably I didn't get your first post right  Yes, you should make new string value with the name "Script" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Works like a charm, thanks... Edited June 15, 2005 by eikie
Guest ronswens Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 danmancs, I meant to attach the zipped file... well, nevermind ;) I tried your settings for sms and everything worked fine for me. Can anyone with C500 confirm that this tweak works for his phone?
Guest danmancs Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 I got it working now, ta. but it seems to change it from flashing once every 2 or so secs to about once a second, which is almost not noticable, I tried \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\Led\TimeOut=dword:00000001 but this doesn't seem to make a difference either... is there a way to get it to flash, say once every 0.2 seconds? Cheers, Dan.

Guest Glassbottle Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 MrMpx220, download and install free PHM Registry Editor, your phone must be unlocked. It's quite simple to edit the keys and values with this app. However beware of changing the values you don't know about. It can result to complete hanging of your phone. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Tried this Registry editor but it won't install (wrong version Smartphone 2002) Is there a newer version out there? Thnx
Guest ronswens Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 Tried this Registry editor but it won't install (wrong version Smartphone 2002) Is there a newer version out there? Thnx <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You probably downloaded wrong version. I just downloaded and installed a .cab for Smartphone 2002/2003 and the app works fine in my T-Mobile SDA (WM2003SE). Try again.
Guest Seraphic Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 what phone do you have? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> C500, 4.2.1.1 Rom
Guest eikie Posted June 17, 2005 Report Posted June 17, 2005 C500, 4.2.1.1 Rom <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have the same problem, tweak works fine, if you look at the blinking light, but I did notice a slow down. Not very big, but still a nuisance, and I did notice it in games with a lot of keypresses. Checked all the required settings, and I didn't make a mistake.. C500 Latest Qtek ROM

Guest ronswens Posted June 17, 2005 Report Posted June 17, 2005 Glassbottle Try to install this attached file from phm siteregedit.Stngr_ARM.CAB
Guest zZamph Posted July 11, 2005 Report Posted July 11, 2005 Nope, unfortunately, but you will learn the difference between frequent blinking and usual with time <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is there any way to turn the LED light off? I tried to change value to 0 in \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\Led\ "Enabled"="0" but that didn't do it. Thanks.
Guest ronswens Posted July 11, 2005 Report Posted July 11, 2005 (edited) I didn't find the way to stop LED blinking but Flight Mode :) Edited July 11, 2005 by ronswens
