Guest mankian
Sorry guys if this is old news, this is how to fix the bug on the E200 which doesnt allow files to be received over a certian size (300k ish) over bluetooth! You need to get your E200 App. Unlocked, then edit the registry (YOU MAY NEED TO MAKE A SETUP CAB FILE TO DO THIS!! Due to permissions) HKLM\System (Create a key(folder) called FileSys) HKLM\System\FileSys (Create a STRING called TempPath) Set the Value to TempPath to: \Storage\Application Data\Volatile -OR- You can download this attached cab file which does it all for you! It will also give you cleartype (sorry if you dont like cleartype but i had to edit this setup.xml to get my reg settings in, i dont understand the setup.xml language to take the cleartype stuff out). Sorry im not making sense as this is a complicated procedure! Feel free to post if you get confused/stuck ;) Took me all day to do this, Microsoft should employ me.. jks :DBTFIX_CTYPE.CAB

Guest mankian
I actually used the C500 to fix the problem, as my C500 didnt have any problems with bluetooth... the file should work fine on a C500 though, give it a go :D should fix it ;) Sorry but what do you mean by "second post?" Guest mike_lao888
Will it work with O2 Xphone??? I have the same problem with my bluetooth....
Guest mankian
I havnt tested it on anything other then the E200 (orange) rom for the voyager. As long as the XPhone is smartphone 2003 or smartphone 2003 SE i *THINK* it should fix it. I dont think it can harm your phone by trying and if it does mess things up it can be un-installed (so that everything is put back) Obviously i dont take any responsibility for things going wrong but im 99.9% sure that they wont! Will it work with O2 Xphone??? I have the same problem with my bluetooth.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Guest gpcarreon (MVP)
@mavis, mikelao The C500 and XPhoneII have those registry values by default. Verify with your favorite registry editor.

Guest blah0123456789
Not working for me. I did try to create new reg entry but PHM Registry Editor v 0.70 says: Unable to perform this operation. I downloaded cab file, run it in Smart Explorer v 2.0.2, installation starts but ends with info: Installation failed. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have adequate system permission. I have two E200 with 2.7.1.1 UK Orange Rom. Software and SIM unlocked. Any ideas? Guest Confucious
Why do the edit manually when there is a cab in the second post to do it for you? But why still use E200s? If you must do it manually use regeditSTG which is signed and should do the job. Welcome to the forums.
Guest blah0123456789
I did "downloaded cab file, run it in Smart Explorer v 2.0.2, installation starts but ends with info: Installation failed. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have adequate system permission." Why E200? I still couldn`t find replacement my for E200 and it is good enough for me. Guest Confucious
You need to app unlock your phone. Download regeditSTG2 which is digitally signed: http://4pda.ru/forum/attach/387522/regeditSTG2.zip Then install it and change some registry values: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies0001001 = 2 -> change to 1 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies0001005 = 16 -> change to 40 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies0001017 = 128 -> change to 144 seems to work on most phones - no idea if it does on the E200 - so might be worth searching first!
