Guest chazzer Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 I bought the TT Nav European maps and converted them (by changing the file extensions. It's quite straight forward) so they work with TTM 4. If you want to know how to do it I can provide you with the method, at least you can say you bought the maps legally, that's the way I look at it. Has anybody successfully copied TTM 5 onto a larger card, and were there any problems with the device\porduct code? I bought TTM 5 and would like put it on a larger more useful card, but don't want to mess up the product code etc.
Guest pete1312 Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 Copying TTM5 to a larger card is no different to copying TTM4, i.e. just copy everything from the TT card to the root directory of larger card, including the 2557 file. As previously posted, I now have TTM4 GB + Spain on one 512MB SD card, and TTM5 GB only on a 2nd 512MB card. I'd have preferred to have bought TTM5 Spain and put them both on the same card - but it is not available. TT are crazy in their sales philosophy IMHO (Do they even have a Sales Manager/Director)? !!!!!!!
Guest Wombleuk Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 There is an option in TT5 to switch maps. This is just to work with a different map. What would be good is if TT5 did that automatically when driving from one map to another and in route planning
