Guest Dade Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 IT'S HERE!!! Edit: ^^ ok then fat boy :D 3 minutes out... What did I tell you all eh!!! :)
Guest Russell@home Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 So how come we still can't buy it???
Guest chrisbpr Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 hey dade ..any chance of a review yet ?????
Guest chrisbpr Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 just looked on oranges site..the m500 is there for £99 ...but...it looks as though the upgrade option has been taken off the web site...very strange.
Guest tik Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 they're taking the mick with the pricing they've got on the website - even on a premier plan they want £49.99 for the handset. Going to have to either charm or whine lots at someone in retentions, methinks!
Guest Davey Mc Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 just been told i can have it free but cant do it as an upgrade yet. Why are we still waiting. there are taking the piss.
Guest Dade Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 hey dade ..any chance of a review yet ????? Prolly wont do a review. There are tons of JAM reviews out there and this thread, at the begining at least, covers quite a bit. Dont know how a review will add much.
Guest samandiain Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 After 6 years with Orange all I can say is Iain :)
Guest tik Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 yeah, i got the distinct impression OCS staff are feeling a bit miffed at the powers that be for going with that ad campaign!
Guest Dade Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 The JavoScreen protector offer has been extended due to the 'shortage' of M500's! Check it out HERE!
Guest Davey Mc Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 has anyone got through to upgrades, just wondering if anyone knows when the lemons are gonna let us upgrade
Guest Russell@home Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 Just called them, the girl I spoke to said it wasn't available. Told her it was on the website & she was very surprised! I was told that if it was on the site it would be available as an upgrade in a couple of days as web orders are delivered in 7-10 days & suggested I call back Monday
Guest Davey Mc Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 its says 2=5 days on the orange website for delivery. I wonder if its just a case of waiting for them to update there systems
Guest Flash Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 (edited) Just called them, the girl I spoke to said it wasn't available. Told her it was on the website & she was very surprised! I was told that if it was on the site it would be available as an upgrade in a couple of days as web orders are delivered in 7-10 days & suggested I call back Monday <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I spoke to a lady at OCS this evening and she told me they didn't have any M500s nor could she find any mention of them on her 'lists' as future arrivals. When I pointed out that the website had them on, she said: "...we are different to the website. The site is like a shop, whilst we are errr... just different. The shops have more of a selection of phones, and are able to entice you with special offers such as BT headsets. We, on the other hand, would charge you for each item individually - ie. no offers" So, (from my experience anyway) OCS aren't going to sell them  . But of course they will, won't they? :?: Edited July 14, 2005 by Flash
Guest dan13l Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 Well, my M500 did indeed arrive :) Its a very nice bit of kit. Much, much smaller in the hand than I thought it would be. The case, imo, isn't that bad. Its not ideal, but its better than nothing. The lack of an sd card is a little poor, but oh well. I'm just trying to get my head around the thing now, that could take me a while :D
Guest RazorD Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 I'm really disappointed at the £100 price tag :) Now i'm not sure if i really want it... I could go for the C550, bigger screen, good camera.. or for a £50 quid get a O2 XDAIIi or XDAIIs... oh dear :D I'm not good at decisions.

Guest Behold Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 I was told from going on the web site give it 1-2 days fore upgrade all stock comes in as new contract phones. the warehouse has to unpack some of them and deprogram the assigned number to the IMEI so it can be sold for upgrade. Bout time.....

Guest Flash Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 That is genius. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Absolutely. Yet speak to someone else at OCS and you'll be given some more words of wisdom. Just as good, but different.... :)
Guest soup dragon Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 Absolutely. Yet speak to someone else at OCS and you'll be given some more words of wisdom. Just as good, but different.... :) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Never before have I EVER come across such gross lack of communication. If I operated my business in this way I would have been looking for a job a long time ago. I'm amazed and very disappointed, at just how badly certain levels within Orange have handled this whole affair. Even at this point - where they now seem to have stock - they still manage to cock the whole thing up. There are SO many things they could do better. I'm now questioning: A) Why are certain management level personnel getting paid handsomely to oversee this absolute fiasco :D Why why I'm still with them.
Guest Hax Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 I'm really disappointed at the £100 price tag :) Now i'm not sure if i really want it... It's free from those places on a £30/month contract. Some people have already received their from some of these suppliers. I'm hoping to have confirmation that my MobileShop order will be dispatched tomorrow. I'd avoid OSPS though if I were you they seem somewhat less competent than Orange when it comes to knowing what's going on.
Guest Davey Mc Posted July 14, 2005 Report Posted July 14, 2005 I agree, before i upgrade i might speak to exec who are suposed to phone me today or tomorrow but i doubt they will as i have been promised call backs no less than 6 times and not received one. To keep me there i reckon they will have to either give me a large credit on the account or 1gb sd card and bluetooth headset cos otherwise i might aswell jump ship to t mobile where i can get the mda compact and 260 quid cash back and bluetooth headset and pay a bit more in line rental. What annoys me most is how little they seem to care about existing customers. i for instance get a credit each month of 3.65 off my bill. My average over 5-6 yrs has been probably around 80 pound a month at least. My girlfreind spends about the same, has been with t- mob about 4 yr and gets 25 pound a month discount.
