Guest jojoe
If I store a number without any space eg. +491705391XXX it is always stored as +49_1705391XXX. If I use the number converter, it converts, if I close it, the space between the intl. code and the number comes back again. Where the f... can I stop that? Isn't there any registry key in windows? I use Outlook XP and the 2003 Beta both have the same problem.
Guest Lojt
It does the same thing on my pc, but why is it a problem?
Guest Coolboy1982
Now starngely enough I have a different version of the bug: it puts the space after british numbers +44 xxxxxxxxxxxx but not after any others like my German numbers: +49xxxxxxxxx Maybe outlook knows which country we are in from the windows regional settings and somehow autoformats the homecountry's ones like this! JOE, does this happen just to your German numbers (Hau rein Landsmann), or to others, too! If it is like my theory suggests, we could just change our country in windows or on the spv to Afghanistan or some other country that we have no contacts from. As long as we keep our language and other regional setting as our real home ones, this should not influence anything negatively. Haven't tried his though! Guest Coolboy1982
It does the same thing on my pc, but why is it a problem? It can be a problem for example with the oncoming caller2picture apps, which will only recognise exact numbers without spaces or for anything else that deals with phone numbers. Guest midnight
for me, all i do is insert the number in outlook, and it will automatically add the +44 then a space, now, if i go back into that contact, remove the space and click save then it saves fine, it does remove the space and everything is hunkey-dorey bit of a pain cos you have to go back into the contact, but it works

Guest fraser
If the picture apps etc are falling over, it's their own fault. You shouldn't be reliant on the user using a consistent format for the dates, that's stupid. When comparing the numbers, the app should automatically strip the spaces from both, and possibly convert to a generic number, minus the country code or first 0. How many contacts do you have in different countries with the exact same number?
Guest madu
There is a registry key on desktop PC where it states which area code you are in and puts a space after that code. It is country default. The solution is here: http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic...utlook+registry

Guest Syvwlch
I've tested the WhoCall app with numbers with spaces... it ignores them totally. Works fine with or without. Guest Simon Desser
It does the same thing on my pc, but why is it a problem? Another reason why this is a problem (on the SPV) is that it won't send an MMS to a contact saved like this. (Unless it was fixed in the update, I've not checked?)
