Agreed. Nothing else comes close to the spv in terms of features (except the costly p800)

When I was looking for a new phone I wanted one with mp3 playback, camera and downloadable games. The SPV did all that and so much more. The only thing holding me back was the certification nag, but when the workaround was found I bought one the very next day. Now that Orange have taken a more reasonable stance to certification I see no reason to even consider another phone. They are all soooo limited.

I have lived thru a number of analog phones and have noticed problems with a lot of the Nokia phones...3360 for instance, reboots all the time...especially when it gets anywhere near my Motorola P935 Timeport(who knows why).

My Motorola StarTac was rock solid for making calls, everything else was non-existent on the unit(no sms, no custom ringtones, no custom nothing)

I think Nokia has had a long run with their software and still have issues, but people are going to hate on Microsoft and HTC, or whoever handsets because they dont like Microsoft, and in general its getting to be a bit childish for grown ups to carry such a torch against something...it is almost peer pressure in some circumstances, people MSoft bashing just because its favorable in front of colleagues and the sort.

Gimme a break! If you dont like it, then get something else, but dont put the often used MSoft bash in it, when you wouldnt normally bash someone elses product.

Yep, mines making the long road back as well. Might have a look once the SPVx is out, but for the moment, with only a s*** PC that I use for word processing, and sadly no appointments to keep track of the SPv is just too ugly for the amount of features that I use.

No movies downloadable via Pc, no real love of using wavs as tones, and do not have the time to waste that I will need if I was to load lots of games on.

Gonna head for.... T300. Its a s*** phone I know, but its free and with a 125 media msg a month as well as 500 normal txts for only 25 squid, the more advance features of the SPv just do not compensate.

Still quite like the look of the 6610 with free camera- anyone used these?

Adieu my leeetle amigos

 Had SPV for a month - once Orange had turned GPRS on roaming nodes it has worked perfectly - video downloads via laptop & broadband, MMS, sync etc all work perfectly. Internet access is sufficiently effective to be tempting - Traffic monitor essential download! - should be part of system software. You can even make phone calls!
