Then buy out out the contract at the same time (cost about £360) they will also unlock the phone remotely for you at the same time if you ask nicely. Unless she goes for a handset trade in to further lower the price. But since the phone is hers after the 12 month contract, Orange have no right to take the old phone away. But I think to get an accurate upgrade price would be to get your friend to ask herself, coz it's different with everyone.
