Guest kev51773
Okay, so just like my windows installation on my PC, Im trying to replace all of the Microsoft software, in order to get a more useful stable platform. I was hoping to find a version of Thunderbird for pocketpc but haven't seen one yet. Does anyone know of any software that wil replace Outlook for Email (and maybe sms). Guest kev51773
Try have a look at Jeyo's software <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jeyo's software seems to be all PC-side software. Im more interested in a replacement pocketpc mail/sms client.
Guest danktuft
Jeyo's software seems to be all PC-side software. Im more interested in a replacement pocketpc mail/sms client. I tried FlexMail but it didn't seem 100%. I really wanted to use it but there were flaws in it.

Guest Brad Barnett
What a strange thing to be doing :) P Actually, it's perfectly sensible... although perhaps not for the reasons the poster initially stated. Pocket Outlook won't let me leave my emails on server... a simple, easy feature to implement. As I stated in another thread, this is likely a Microsoft leadin to push email with exchange. After all, how _dare_ you use an "inferior" technology like a pop server. :D Anyhow, what can I say, save "boneheads".

I use a pop3 service with pocket outlook and can keep messages on the server.
Guest awarner (MVP)
Depends if you have downloaded the entire message or not, most people just download the message headers.
Guest daedalia
Qmail, and it's free, no SMS though: http://q3.snak.org/wiki/ site's in Chinese, handles POP3, IMAP and HTML. Edited November 17, 2006 by daedalia
Guest Kimbie
I know I can certainly download the entire message with pocket outlook and the emails remain on my pop3 server Kimbie

QMail works fine with my Trion (HTC Hermes), but it won't work with the 710 (HTC VOX)...;(
