Guest Phil Lee Posted August 16, 2005 Report Share Posted August 16, 2005 I got my MDA Compact this morning and am looking to set it up in the best way before I start installing any applications on it. I didn't really like all the T-Mobile branding on it so having read the forum I discovered the trick of doing a hard reset followed by a soft reset to avoid installing the files from Extended_ROM. I now need to know which files to install from Extended_ROM. I've tried searching through the forums but can't find a definitive list, especially for the current 1.12.00 ROM. The folder contains the following files: AutoRun BTUSB_PATCH_AKU26 CAB-Acrosoft-MMS-2.5.0.28... CAB-Certificate-TMO-03Feb... CAB-Customization-Magicia... CAB-DATEmailWiz-2.0.0.3-P... CAB-TaiJava-101276-PPC-E... Caller_ID_Magician_T-Mobil... Camera_Wizard_Magician_... Config Delete_All_Favorites.sa Delete_vdisk_shortcut_WW... IntelliDialer_Magician_T-Mo... IntelliPad_Magician_T-Mobi... TMO_Wallpaper TMO_wapPush_update.sa TMOUK_Customize_112147 TPDisable TPEnable UA_Profile_TMO_Compact1... UXC_Magician_T-Mobile_W... Version_WWE_112152.sa Zip_Magician_T-Mobile_WW... Apologies for not giving the full names but I can't find a way to display them using the standard File Explorer. Please can one of you Magician experts point me in the direction of which of these need to be installed. it certainly is a step up from a C500 to a Magician and I want to set it up right first time rather than go through the pain of repeated reinstalls that I had to when I first got the C500. Guest Zim Posted August 16, 2005 Report Share Posted August 16, 2005 Hey guys, the possibilites are endless....i got the mda compact...with 27mb storage..basically the big storage hack. it get rid of all the files in storage, frees up alot of space. anyway i do recomend it..bit of fiddling required but worth it..
