Windows Mobilized say it all I guess. Anyway we can always try and bring them (non gsm users) over to the darkside...mwa...mwa....MWAHAHAHAHA.....

I voted no.

I also expressed my opinion when the whole "windows mobilised" came about. When I joined this site, not long after the SPV Classic same out, it was a easy-access WINDOWS SMARTPHONE site.

now its big, clunky and hard to find what you want (partly down the change in forum software - why was it changed anyway?)

Anyway, I only put up with it because theres no other site out there with the same expert userbase on my main concern - smartphones. Any further deviation will just make this worse in my opinion.

Since we re-organised our forum back into Smartphone area together, it is effectively the same layout it always was, and there is very little difference because of the forum software (which incidentally was changed because the one we did use was too insecure, not updated frequently enough, and didn't have the strength of support that a paid forum offers - IPB rocks!)

Of course, integration of non Phone Pocket PCs would really only affect the existing Pocket PC (Phone Edition) sections, so if you only live in the Smartphone area, it shouldn't matter.

Finally something is moving - thnak you for making this post and adding a poll - it's interesting to see what others thinks of having it here.

As someone mentioned... as long as it's related to Windows Mobile, it should be here, i.e. Pocket PC.

Any information that is helping Smartphone/PPC users should be permitted.

However, before *any* effort is made to increase the size of this forum, there needs to be a bit more thought into the level of service! I agree this is good for a free forum, but I have some gripes of late, insofar as

- I frequently cannot load pages at all

- I get bombarded with requests for cookies

- It took me six attempts to even get this page to view, so I could write this!!

I don't get it. Maybe hardware needs throwing at this, or more bandwidth, or less advertising - but I for one find the site *barely* usable any more, which is a real put-off, frankly.

I hope this is viewed as constructive criticism, as I intended.

I personally agree with your gripes, though I believe both can be done at the same time.

Ads being blocked blocked by spyware doctor, cause me soooo much trouble logging in. The forum layouts are still cumbersome to me, I cant put my finger on why but I still havnt gotten used to them. Maybe it's just tooo many.

Plus I'd like to see more benefits and contests as well.

But all that and the new forums are enough to keep paul busy! :o

I think it should cover all aspects of windows mobile if MoDaCo is to move with the times.

In the not to distant future will MoDaCo not be required to cover all things from PPC, smartphones, MP3 Players, Media jukeboxes, cameras etc.. ????

It cant be long before a successful device is available to cover all possible requirements. However problems would be encountered when a variety of operating platforms are being used so if restricted to windows based products this would be just fine.

With the latest release of smartphones. I can't understand why people would choose to buy a PPC to use alongside their mobile, when from my early impressions the M500 can perform the roles of both devices.

:o Trousers were designed with 2 pockets one for keys and loose change one for your smartphone. Back pockets exempt no one likes to sit on their smartphone, PPC, i-pod or dare i say it the PSP. :(
