Spoke to Orange CS about this last night

They told me that its still out of stock and they dont know when it'll be back

He told me that its been taken off their ordering system because they already have a massive back-log of orders for this phone

I questioned him about it being discontinued and he said it hasnt been

I also asked him about the C600 and he told me that i'm more likely to get the C600 before the M500

Thanks dasingh for the info, looks like i might have to get the C600 then, i can't wait forever....

No probs, I'm either gonna get the C600 or i-mate SP5 (i think the C600 looks too much like the C500)

Would love Orange to release either the K-Jam or the 128mb version of the Jam

I have just given up waiting for the M500 and cancelled my order with onestopphoneshop which has been standing for nearly a month now.

Gone to buymobilephones and preordered the 9100 on O2. just got to wait 7 days now and keep my fingers crossed. :|

Okay, Have just been to our local orange shop in pompey, to be told that they are no longer getting M500's in...................

They did have a demo M1500 in stock and said that these will be in on wednesday to purchase. They said that it is due to the launch of the M1500 that they will won't get any more M500's in. Not sure if that is the decision of the store, or if that is affecting all of orange shops.

oh, and they quoted me £179.99 for the phone

If true (& tbh I'd be a little surprised), it's a very odd decision by Orange. The M1500 is not a progression from the M500, but a totally different device.
