still the same thing after deleting the registry key.  Is there anything i can try ?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Hmmm.... I don't understand why. Rey of airfagev.com tried it on MPx220 and it's working fine.

Ok, try this... highlight Games folder and try renaming it to say Games2 and see what happens. (browse through all the pages of your screen by pressing More (left softkey), and see if Games2 folder is still there. If it is, check if you can click on it and if the folder opens and displays the link contents. Please give me feedback.

Thanks.

OK! Here's a few shots from my C550. Basically the app opens at what I assume is 176x180, aligned to the top left corner. The functions do work, so when I click on a shortcut it opens properly, and when I change settings like between icons & list, or using background images, it works - just in the top left corner though!

In the 2nd & 3rd images, you can see the menus seem to stay onscreen after using them & selecting whatever I wanted. The app still works OK with the menus onscreen, but they never seem to disappear.

Hope that is some help, and please let me know if you need any more of any specific things happening.

hum .. it's still no good. It worked for a little while when i created new folders placed my shortcuts in there as well. But then after a couple of resets (restarts), it stopped working again.

I tried your methods and renamed some of my folders. They renamed fine and they were there after i browse through the other pages ... but i still can't click on it.

But thank you for your suggestions tho =)

Sorry, it's not uploaded yet. I'm still incorporating enhancements like issues re devices not set on English as the primary language. Tested it on Spanish, French, Italian and Deutsche. So far, ok. Hmm... this is getting quite "international..." lol :P

Watch out for the next version.

Thanks. :(

First off all, thanks for the superb program!

I'm not having any problems at all:)

I've got a small request though, which I hope you can realise.

Could you incorporate an option to start with the center icon selected when using the grid view?

This makes all items in the grid reachable using the least keypresses :!

Version 1.1 looks good on the C550! ;)

I've still got a problem on my C500 with a spurious entry ("1 Start Menu\")appearing at the top of the start menu, whenever I've been in to a sub-folder and then come back out. If I click on it, it disappears and the start menu is displayed as it should be.

This is a slight improvement over the problem before, because the 'strange' highlighting has gone away.

It is nice however to see apps being made for the 550, kinda worrying with the c600 around the corner. :|

Why?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

surely they would rather be making apps for the 600 not the 550 ?

What differences do you know of that will prevent gStart from running on the C600?

I don't know. This is a thread about gStart (on the currently released phones).

(I've no idea if software developed specifically for WM5 will be backwards compatible with WM2003)

The impression I'm getting is that WM05 versions of software will work on QVGA phones like the C550.

This is from the updates that Astraware have released for their games and DeveloperOne have released for CodeWallet etc. Neither announced WM2003 but 240x320 versions, they both referred to their WM05 updates.

So that's a yes to W4lly :D

But back to lspatricio's genius.......will install the new version on my C550 in the morning ;)

Please check the about screen of your copy of gStart. The latest version available at airfagev.com is v1.1 build 10182005. If it's build10172005 you have, please download the latest build and see if you still have that problem.

Thanks.

I did have version 1017 and so just installed 1018 and unfortunately the problem is still there.

(I've noticed that apps launched from gStart do now populate the MRU plugin - thanks.)

This may be related to the Start Menu problem but the first icon on the MRU, after a soft reset is a folder, which when clicked gives:
