Guest xerxes
When the Universal was first being discussed there was some suggestion that it would have USB host functionality. Can anyone confirm whether the Universal actually has this functionality? It would be great to be able to carry my presentations on a big USB memory stick and present from an XDA. My dream of leaving the laptop at home could finally come true!!! Can somebody try plugging a USB stick in and see what happens? Guest 73bugcab
Sorry took so long to test but had to buy mini usb converter from Maplin. Plugged in memory dongle and ........ nothing. Shame seems that this feature has been left out. Any chance that an app could be written to add this in?
Guest Larnsky
I don't think that would work anyway as the Phone would need the drivers on it already. Windows XP has a lot of these built in thats why it normally can detect whatever you plug in! But as for whether or not it has host functionality i don't know!
