Guest dolphinsmile Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 (edited) We’re all like children the night before Christmas now waiting for the new toy. Are we sure that our tariff is correct for this new beast though? What’s the best balance of data and free call bundles and how much will it cost? Does anyone have a good deal to tell us all about? I'm paying £13.50 a month and get 750 a month free mins free in the evening and at weekends to landline or other Orange phones. The cost of other calls are very expensive though, 40p to a landline during the day. Edited November 2, 2005 by dolphinsmile
Guest dolphinsmile Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 I thought I'd change the title and put all my questions here so as not to bother anyone. We new m5000 owners now have to think about getting standard size SD cards for playing games, watching films and saving our documents. I found a 4 GB on ebay but wonder if it will work? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4GB-ADATA-Secure-Dig...bayphotohosting Sorry about the Spam but someone may find it useful.

I can get some serious video storage on that. I have 3 gig of video formatted for the PSP... and I hope that I can get a program for the Universal that will play them. Since the handset was free, £150 for 4GIG SD isnt too bad. Rich
Guest rickyburke Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 i was under the impression that the video for the psp was mpeg-4, which if true shouldnt be a problem playing on the m5000 as long as betaplayer is made available for windows mobile 5.0. 4 gig sd! never even heard of a 4 gig before! i'm still looking to get a sandisk sd card with the built in usb connection, but still cant find one!
Guest Confucious Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 (edited) 4Gb have been around (in theory) for a while now. No reason why it shouldn't work but they are charging £20 P&P from within the UK ! That is Con No1 then a further £10 insurance so for a £137 item you have to pay another £30 PP&I I would not buy from this supplier on principle - I did not pay that much for the PP&I for my 1Gb card from the USA. If you have to have it now then you don't have a lot of choice - otherwise wait a couple of months until you can buy from people who advertise the true price and and trying to profit from the "add ons". Just my 2d's worth. [Edit] They are available elsewhere but more expensive any way but see http://www.mobymemory.co.uk/4GB.SD.Card.3588.html - I'll wait, I think.
