Orange Homescreen Customization

Just wondered if anyone with the M5000 has removed the Homescreen customization that Orange put on. I was used to the default style of homescreen which in many ways i prefer as you can see what the appointments actually are as opposed to there just being an appointment. I wondered if anyone had removed this and if it makes a difference to the memory on the device?

Also what other customizations have Orange done, as i have nothing to compare it with!
