How do you turn off Orange GPRS?

I downloaded the trial version of resco radio over the weekend. you can schedule it to start recording internet radio at a given time.

whilst my home wireless connection should always be available there may be a few minutes during the day or night when its not.

I don't want the phone to automatically use the gprs connection - I'd rather it not connect at all.

does anyone know if its possible to stop the orange gprs connection from being used automatically - or turn it off altogether?

work wouldn't be too happy if I use up the data allowance in one go!
