Guest afhstingray Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 I got a brand new M5000 frm orange last week, and the rectangle below the camera is just blank black space What happened to the logo?? its not really a big issue, but i was wondering why its not there when you can clearly see it on orange's promotional pics http://www.orange.com/English/multinational/3924.asp and the other universal devices sold by other operators
Guest gilesjuk Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 Microsoft probably expect a royalty payment for using it. The SP5 doesn't have it either.
Guest afhstingray Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 lol......' i dont think so..... i mean, copies of windows XP come with the designed for xp sticker..
Guest gcarte Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 if you look at the picture with the three views you can see the sticker if you click on the zoomed in picture no logo???
Guest afhstingray Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 hehe well since there is enpty space maybe i should put one of those "Intel inside pentium 4" stickers on it....... or the winxp sticker
Guest stanthebiker Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 hehe well since there is enpty space maybe i should put one of those "Intel inside pentium 4" stickers on it....... or the winxp sticker <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe mine will get one of these... ;)
Guest TigerNet Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 Microsoft probably expect a royalty payment for using it. The SP5 doesn't have it either. ...but it is on my SP5m...above the camera... :?: Cheers Nick

Guest Pondrew Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 errrr i was referring to the M5000....why are you guys referring to other phones :S <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They're just pointing out that it isn't extraordinary for a Windows Mobile device NOT to have "Designed for Windows Mobile" on it.
Guest Disco Stu Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 Mine is missing too... P <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ...and is that all you can say on the subject ? Can you use your MVP status to get to the bottom of this ? This seems to be a sea change in product specification to me ? ;) :D
Guest afhstingray Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 They're just pointing out that it isn't extraordinary for a Windows Mobile device NOT to have "Designed for Windows Mobile" on it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> oh okay, do those devices just have blank rectangles as well? hehe this isnt really a big issue, but i was just curious cos the other versions of the universals seem to have it
Guest stanthebiker Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 The MDA Pro has 'Designed for Windows Mobile' under the camera.
Guest afhstingray Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 yep...and the prototype devices, they have a pretty colour one, like the dell x50. i wonder how some operators devices have them and some dont. wouldnt tht need like seperate manufacturing or something
