Major Issue - Doing Ma Nut

Ok so i couldnt get the new beta skype to download so deleted it now this sh!tty little window keeps popping round saying;

"Cannot execute \Program\Files\Skype for Pocket PC\Skype.exe"

I reset the phone but its still saying it.

Try having a look in the Windows Startup folder on the device and see if there is anything in there that relates to Skype that you can remove.

Did you just delete it or did you remove it using 'Remove Programs'?

If you just deleted it, there's a load of Registry entries left behind, probably one that runs Skype on startup.

The best way round this (if it now won't remove), is to add it again, then do a proper remove to clear everything out.

when i tried remove programs first it said there were errors so i deleted it, found some bits lying round but when i reset the device as soon as i punch my pin in it pops the error up again.

Get the program called 'CheckNotifications'.

from here: Scary Bear

Run that, find the one that is 'Skype' or 'Skype.exe' and delete it.

This will sort the error message out for you.

Seems to be a bug in Skype with Mobile 2005.

I also have the problem, did I proper uninstall too.

I tried scary bear but that didnt help me.

I just reinstalled skype and all ok now ;)

I've installed and uninstalled a few times now, still same annoying message!

Yes but as of yet I haven't tried uninstalling it as I can't be done with the hassle again, if some can tell us how to sucessfully remove programs then ill do it ;)

Installed or not I get the error message all the time!
