Active Sync Problem

Hi guys. i have a strange problem. I hard reseted my phone yesterday and now ,active sync can only connect me as a guest.and now i cant get my contacts back!

Any ideas? Or ,is there another program i can use to upload my contacts back on the phone?

Because you hard reset it, it is now a "different" phone for Activesync.

Disconnect the phone, open Activesync, select Delete Partnership. Once the partnership is deleted reboot PC (just to be sure) and then reconnect the phone. Read the resulting dialog boxes carefully and you should be able to work out what to do!

Strange.The "Mobile Devices" option is grayed out and i cant select it.I cant delete my previous partnerships!

Now what?

not sure what you mean about the mobile device bit being grey - i guess that is because no device is connected.

why can you not just select file > delete partnership?

Thats the problem. The "delete partnership" is not selectable!

any ideas?

Settings/phone settings/Device name

Change the name of the device and plug it back in. Set up a new partnership with the settings you require.

Nope! that didnt work either! dont know what to do! Could there be a problem on active sync on my phone? is there a way to reinstall active sync on my mobile?

No you would be far better off trying this first:

Find RJV Regtweaks UI either in the downloads section of this forum or at Airfagev.com or using google. Install this on your phone then go to Activesync name and change ity again to something unique. Switch phone nad PC off and on again. Plug in your phone.

If that doesn't work then try uninstalling Activesync on your PC then reinstalling latest version from Microsoft downloads. I'd try that along with changing device name by above method.
