I'm getting the same problem on my c600. Settings | About, shows that I have 4.00MB of available storage, and 23.67MB of available program memory. I also have 12.78MB of available space on the SD card. This is really annoying. I can't reliably send MMSs at all, and there is very little that I can move on to storage card to make space, and I doubt it would do much good - I already have 23.67MB of program memory doing nothing.

From my experience with Pocket PC, program memory and storage memory is shared, and Windows Mobile automatically balances the two. In Pocket PC, you can temporarily move the balance to make more space for files or for running programs. Smartphone doesn't allow the manual adjustment, but does Smartphone do something similar?

Does this sound like a bug in the MMS client (according to Acount Options | MMS | Menu | About - the MMS client is a 3rd party component written by ArcSoft)?

a) The MMS client surely doesn't really need 4mb of memory to send the MMS, and ;) is it performing an unnecessary check on the amount of storage rather than just writing the file, and letting Windows manage the divide between storage and program memory?

Do all Smartphones use Arcsoft MMS Composer?

Please Help!!

Had this sp5m now for a while, and after spending literally days trying to setup the MMS, still got nowhere (although I get my email no problem through GPRS).

The phone is on Orange PAYG, and has 12Mb free on the device.

Can anyone tell me if they have managed to get their MMS to work, and if so, what are their setting please....

Thanks for any advice

Additional -

I have 'DeCertified' and unlocked the phone using both the registry editor and the SDA utility. Then I have applied the ORANGE PAYG CAB file that holds all of the setting (curtesy of an iMate download from the thread on http://sbisson.livejournal.com/617408.html).

So I now have ALL the settings.

I have checked with Orange, and all settings are active for the sim on the network.

BUT STILL IT WILL NOT SEND AND RECEIVE MMS !!!!!

AAArrrrrgggghhhh :x :x :x
