Guest Pondrew Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Not so sure about the gap in the HTC Pocket PC Phone market for an XDA IIi type device. Would say the XDA IIi hardware is still more then capable of filling that gap! Whereas the Blue Angel is older in having a slower processor and vga camera. I think the full size PDA with keyboard is the area they need to refresh...
Guest afhstingray Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 maybe they think (like a lot of ppl) that the market for unconnected pda is diminishing? True the IIi is powerful, i still think they are probably going to follow the same "procedure" as the wizard/prophet and the blue angel/alpine, release a new form factor ppcphone with keyboard, then release a keyboardless version with some "higher" features to make up for the lack of keyboard. after all there are a fair few people complaining that they want to upgrade but the only vga ppc phone is too big that would justify a IIi formfactor VGA device wouldnt it? would take a while to come out i guess, since the IIi isnt that old
