C500 Vs C600

I have an upgrade due, and put simply, I'm sticking with orange and theres no other decent phones.

Therefore c600 for free is what I went for.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I upgraded from a C500 onto non-smart Samsung SGH S500i simply because I was fed up with the really crap support I had with Orange, not only were my details passed onto 3rd parties who tried to entice me to upgrade bypassing O.C.S but the choice of SmartPhones was severely limited, now I've had an SPV e200 am MPX200 and the C500 I dislike candybar/regular style mobiles, and I miss my Smart(flip)phone like mad.

I have given the samsung to my other-half,as a mobile phone it is an excellent device, however its lack of software and the damn DRM issues made my toes curl,so its back to the C500

( now setup on o2 - Orange couldnt/didnt want to give me the same deal as a new customer wouldve got (free phone etc they were quite prepared to charge me extra cash for the c600,yet a new customer couldve picked one up for free ? ).

I can honestly say if the mpx had a camera and bluetooth I would STILL be using it,despite its peculiarities, the capabilities of the c500 in the shell of the MPX200 would be superb.

Seems like I'm in the same boat as a few of you.

I'm on orange, have c500 and due for upgrade. Now I'm thinking, either c600 or change networks and get Sp5m.

:??: Anyone know if there's much hassle involved in keeping your number if changing network?

:??: Who does free Sp5ms on contract?

:??: Also I'd like to know if all the free software I've accumulated will work on the c600 or the I-mate phone?

The only thing keeping me with orange is not wanting to lose my number, and I really want to be able to unlock and modify the phone appearance, and use free software.

Help please.

PS I agree - the Mpx200 was my favourite shape form ever!

Just picked a new C600 a couple of days ago - first impressions ...

How do you get the back off. Silly but as others have found not easy to see as you don't want to damage a new phone. Answer press down on the back towards the battery ad then push towards the bottom of the phone. Easy after the first time.

Have an C500, but installed Activesync v4 to update the drivers. C500 and c600 working from v4. Immediate sync to required Outlook files.

Now to sim unlock - no problems. Very easy and quick using reeditSTG.exe and SPVservices.exe

Loaded Sudoku v1.3. Useable, just. I'll stick to the C500.

Can't find a way to delete the program from the C600. Go to settings/Remove Programs but Sudoku is not recognised.

How do you delete?

There seems to be a lacking of C600 programs. What's the problem.

As you would expect the shiny new C600 looks better than c500, and the fonts and screens are bright and fresh, but I can't help thinking that functionally there is no real difference.
