The way i see it is that the default phone settings are for GPRS and this will make them better for a fatter connection.

there's a registry value at

hkcu\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\internetexplorer

called maxconnectionsperserver. the default value is 4 and i've increased it to 16.

on desktop windows this value controls how many pictures it will load at once from a webpage.

i've found it makes a big difference when looking at picture-intensive (yes i mean porn) pages

Nice tip

Attached is a CAB file to make the change for WM2003 (although it might work on WM5 - I dont have one to test)

The Registry path on my device (SPV M500, WM2003SE) is different though:

WM5.....: hkcu\software\microsoft\windows\current version\internet explorer

WM2K3.: hkcu\software\microsoft\windows\current version\internet Settings

Tweak_PIEMaxConnections_v1.CAB

Guest namiran

i found the key on WM5 to be:

HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Internet Settings/

here you press the values button and edit the key

MaxConnectionsPerServer

to 16 as sudjested...
