Guest timmillwood Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 i am very tempted to go for this phone, i have only had the vario 2 days. Is it too big?
Guest w411y Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 May I ask why you might want to switch?
Guest timmillwood Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 Better screen resolution Bigger memory faster processer 3G
Guest nedge2k Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 I would say do it if you dont mind the size. It's a much better phone.
Guest Confucious Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 (edited) Yes you should. Size is relative - it's up to you but I don't find it to big far all it's functionality and the keyboard is great. Edited December 10, 2005 by Confucious
Guest xspyda Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 The Universal is a lot bigger - but really depends what you want to use it for. I have tried both but have decide to stay with the Wizard in the end. Having said that, I don't use either as a phone - I use my C500 for that. The Wizard is just a net access tool mainly for use in the home at the moment... but it would be a totally different story if Line 2 was an option. In short, depends on your use but I would recommend the Wizard above the Universal. Not sure about the Universal being faster either - doesn't seem it to me.
Guest Confucious Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 For net access at home I use my PC or laptop but do sometimes use my Universal. For net access while out 3G and the screen and kkeyboard make it a pleasure to use. I don't use my C500 or C550 as a phone since I got my Universal - it even works as a phone :)
Guest xspyda Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 Agreed 3G may be of benefit to someone who has a real use for it but IMO that's about the only thing it has going for it above the Wizard. I too prefer to use laptop or pc when at home but its not always convenient ... and its an excuse to own another gadget ;-p As a phone, I could imagine using the Wizard but think I would have a hard time getting on with the Universal.
Guest timmillwood Posted December 10, 2005 Report Posted December 10, 2005 i am very tempted with the M5000, but it will cost too much! I think i will stick with my Vario, see what next year brings? Allthough, i am tempted. its costing me £12.50 a month for the Vario 18month And will cost me £33 a month for the m5000 12month both phones are free
Guest philtech44 Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 yes - even after ALL the grievances & gripes a lot of us have logged in this forum I have to say overall this is an exceptional piece of kit that once you begin to master becomes an invaluable tool.... SWITCH!
Guest timmillwood Posted December 15, 2005 Report Posted December 15, 2005 i am ordering one tomorrow, and go the returns code for my vario so thats going back! i think the deciding factor was the bad t-mobile reseption in south wales. i was thinking about the C600 but thats no better than the nokia 6630 i had before. i think i will have to keep the M5000 on GSM mode though by the sound of it!
Guest Confucious Posted December 15, 2005 Report Posted December 15, 2005 GSM mode will miss half the fun of the M5000! browsing the net on 3G is a joy.
