Guest
It would be nice to be able to assign a shortcut key to Text Messages, rather than have to access them by scrolling down the Home Screen or via Start Menu - Messaging - Text Messages. I found Paul's cab file to add MSN Messenger to the Start Menu very useful, following which you can assign a speed dial: http://www.modaco.com/Restore_the_MSN_Mess...nu-t231197.html Would it be possible to write a similar cab file for Text Messages? Guest chucky.egg
It is possible, but I dont have a WM5 device so I dont know the paths to make the CAB file for you Download the attached text file Rename it to New_SMS.lnk (or similar, has to end .LNK though) Copy it to the Start Menu folder on your phone I think that the path to the Start Menu will be: \ Windows \ Start Menu \ ProgramsNew_SMS_v2.txt Edited December 14, 2005 by chucky.egg

It would be even better if that shortcut took me straight to my inbox (from where I could reply) - is that possible?
Guest chucky.egg
 Thats what it should do. Try changing -Service "SMS" to -Service "Inbox" in the text file, then rename to .LNK etc etc

Uselful but not quite as useful as taking me to the SMS Inbox.
Guest chucky.egg
Ahhh! Sorry, I misunderstood. To just go to the Inbox the text file should just include: 99#tmail.exe -Service "SMS"

You have more of these? Like making an appointment shortcut? Or maybe a place where this kind of info is available for self learning?
