Guest thebaron Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 Strange thing - I now have access to my shared files on my laptop. However, still no internet browsing or email via pocket pc. I can also activesync via wifi. Any ideas? Have you given up on this or had luck since? Out of interest I'm having probs with wifi file sharing and activesync but can access the web. Would love to hear how you got file sharing set up. Cheers, Sam

Cheers, Sam A few of you might be interested to hear my tale. I've had both a Orange M1500 and an 02 exec- both would not connect using wi-fi to my router. Been all round the houses with technical support everywhere- Linksys were singularly unhelpful- changning MAC settings, messing with security etc etc. Nothing. Anyway, got a M600 yesterday to play with. Had assumed would be the same prob- but it connected to my router automatically without me having to change a thing. Now I would have assumed it is a prob with the OS and linksys, but the M1500 was WM2003, and the Exec was WM2005 (I think). The M600 is WM2005, so may be its a ROM setting........ FG
Guest poacher Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 Hi All, I'm now on my 3rd 1500!!! Got the 3rd one today & guess what. It's still doing the same thing. ;) I've been onto the Orange techies and they have now said that they have to try this again with one of their 1500's & routers. Take into consideration that it has tken them 3 months to get back in touch with me!!! It has been suggested that if this 1500 does not work they may have to upgrade to the spv5000. Would like to add that the service from Orange has been terrible, definately thinking of changing provider.
