Guest mmmaiki Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 Audiovox SMT5600, WM2003 Is there a way to bulk delete e-mail or text messages in a particular mailbox? Or does one have to delete them one by one, confirming each one? (The latter is tedious if one has many messages in a mailbox.) If such bulk deletion capability isn't already present in the phone, is there an app that will do this?

Guest mossywell Posted February 3, 2006 Report Posted February 3, 2006 I'm talking about regular POP3 e-mail though, not SMS. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you have Space Maker, you can use that to blast all the pop3 emails. If not, you can delete the *.mpb files from \Storage\windows\messaging. That'll delete the message bodies but the headers will be left behind. (IIRC, they're in one of the vol files which you can't edit or delete.) I've yet to find a way to clear the headers other than emptying the source POP3 mailbox and resynching (which kind of defeats the object as you could do that on the first place, of course.) HTH M
