Bluetooth active sync problem

Hi,

sorry if this has come up before, i've had a search but cant find anything specific. When i try to connect to sync my phone with PC using active sync over bluetooth my phone displays the message " Cannot connect to PC. Close other programs that may be using the connection and try again".

The problem has only developed in the last week and i've not changed anything on the phone.

I've been playing with settings and have removed all partnerships and tried to start from scratch but nothing is working. I keep getting same message. Wierdly i also get this message when i try to use the camera on the phone but then it lets me use it anyway. Does it sound like a communication port issue?

Any suggestions? I'm loath the hardreset the phone without exhausting other solutions as i'll lose my texts and i like to archive them.
