Check out http://www.clickgamer.co.uk/smartphone_main.htm where you can download free trials of some truly glorious .NET enabled games that will blow away anything your mates have on their ubiquitous Sony Ericsson's and Nokia's. If you must play Java games, few of them will work as they need to be J2ME compliant without using any of the handset specific extensions. Some Sony Ericsson java games for the K650 such as Arkanoid 2 work so try those (Walls and Balls for the smartphone is a much better Arkanoid style game :) ) Regards, Dark Horse Edited January 30, 2006 by Dark Horse

But surely there could be a way to support these games right?? Regards, Ali-BB
Guest Dark Horse Posted January 31, 2006 Report Posted January 31, 2006 Yes you can get loads more Java games for free but there's a very significant reason for this: many of them are complete rubbish! If you wanna go ahead and stick 200 mediocre java games on a handset, you're better off getting a Nokia and matching puffy jacket. If on the other hand, you want quality games, and clickgamer has plenty to download for free, then stick with the smartphone. I have around 5 quality games that I play all the time that are far, far better than 100 dodgy java versions you find on Nokia's and SE's. As mentioned earlier, if you must play java games on your handset, try any for the SE K650, most of them work although not very well. The bog standard J2ME is a poor platform for games hence why manufacturers have their own extensions to pep things up. Regards, Dark Horse
