Guest frem Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 I think that our validity time is shorter. Anyway i'm 100 % sure that it's not a provider issue.
Guest adamw Posted February 23, 2006 Report Posted February 23, 2006 I had always thought that the initial 'message sent' dialogue on the phone immediately after sending a text was to confirm that your phone has sent the message ie you have sufficient network coverage. I don't have delivery reports turned on and I always get this message immediately after sending unless I am in a place with no coverage and I get a message saying 'message not sent'. I think you're talking about two different issues here. One message is there to tell you you have sent the message, and the other is there to tell you that the recipient has received it.

But it as NOTHING to do with the delivery report issue we are talking about here. Read carefully the topic from the beginning you'll understand. So anyone as an idea how to fix this bug ??

Do you mind if we push the tests a little? I'm giving you my msn in a private message. Let me know if you're ok to do more tests.
Guest frem Posted March 1, 2006 Report Posted March 1, 2006 Come on People. I'm not giving up on this problem. UP UP UP

I've tried severall scenarios with a friend of mine, sending messages to him with his phone on and off, me sending directly from my Qtek and sending from the pc using Jeyo Mobile Extender etc. etc. In each and every case my delivery notification came at the very moment the message arrived on the other phone.

Guest mwille Posted March 2, 2006 Report Posted March 2, 2006 But did you receive a negative delivery notification when the recipient's phone was off? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope, you never get a "negative" notification. You simply get NO notification untill the recipient turns the phone back on and the sms is delivered.
