Guest petey_d_g Posted February 16, 2006 Report Share Posted February 16, 2006 i have done some work from my previous question and i now have the gprs working fine i think, still not sure but the problem is the cellular multimedia conection i belive i am on orange prepaid i have it set up as name my connection one modem cellular line number 447973100500 username orange password mutlimedia anyway when i dail this it says "no modem at above number. to check your conection settings and change them if needed, tap settings" well anyone know what i have done wrong? also when ever i go on setup orange and try to get settins sent to my phone i don't receive them (well i didn't i have done a hard reset so i will test that bit again now and update this if i need to) sorry about the two seperate questions please help :) (also on an aside do you pay for the access to internet and msn messenger?) Here's my GPRS settings which work fine: Connection Name: Orange GPRS Internet Select a modem: Cellular line (GPRS) Access point name: orangeinternet Username: Password: Domain: Proxy Settings: Check box for "This network connects to the internet" Check box for "This network uses a proxy server....." Leave Proxy Server box empty Advanced Proxy Settings: HTTP: WAP: Server - 192.168.71.35 Port: 8080 Secure WAP: Socks: Give them a go and see if they work! :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest petey_d_g Posted February 17, 2006 Report Share Posted February 17, 2006 hey thanks :) i tried that now opened msn messenger tried to log in, it trid to open the connection and i got this message "the answering modem has disconnected. to check your connection settings...." any ideas whats up, could it be just that i need to top my phone up? i aint put any money on it since i got it, still going of the £1 they give you when you start will that make any differnce, i didn't think it would myself but am sure you people know more than me :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
