Orange SPV C600 AKU2 Update Released

Non-techie question - is this update ONLY for the push email thingy that I don't really want (but yes, is very very clever etc etc)??

In other words, do I need to bother? Does it offer anything else? (or is that 30-odd MB download ONLY for one piece of technology?)

I can confirm going straight from iMate test ROM works perfectly.

Just working on unlocking it now :(

Yes, battery life is greatly improved as the backlight is turned off much quicker now ;) Also improvements with the connection manager and speed of the device.

Update: Got the device unlocked, i'd advise people to mail the orange developers guys and get the application that will unlock your C600 ;)

Cant believe Orange were so quick off the mark with this one! C500 users were the last people in the world to get a WMP10 update last time!

I just used the app they sent me a while ago ;) can use it over and over again once they've sent it once ;)

Wow, actually had a reply from Orange Developers so may at last get an application unlocker for my phone. ;)

Used the link fron the site when the web unlock failed, had to include the following;

Please send me the IMEI number exactly as it is displayed on the

screen when you type *#06# in your phone. Once I have this I will send you

a file within the next few days.

Please also make sure you include your full name, network country, Orange phone number, Orange handset model, and handset IMEI number in your reply.

Just some info on the update

* Internet Explorer is way faster, especially scrolling

* When you use your phone as a bluetooh modem, the arrows near the signal are gone, it is now the G sign

* Bluetooth has better support, it detected my headset already when I set my headset in paringmode, I didn't have to add device manually

* Comm Manager is way better, finally I can only disable GSM radio and keep bluetooth on ;)

Yes the unlocking tool works fine! You have to read it very good (maybe better 2 times ;) )

And this is after you updated to AKU2 ?

Isn't this to SIM unlock ? I think Creamhackered was talking about application unlock.

I'm happy it works for you guys....still saying "service not responding" & it won't save my password......Internet explorer is wont connect either ;)
