Hi there

I have been using my m2000 for just under a year and i am very happy with it despite it's limitations

now it is time for an upgrade there looks to be 2 contenders the m3000 and m5000

my main issue with my m2000 is bluetooth support, i have tried a number of headsets and both my own and wifes m2000 and get a very poor quality so much that i have never been really able to use the bluetooth headset

so my question is,,, has orange and HTC sorted this out..

The M3000 has not been released in the UK but is available in France etc.

If you want the Wizard design you could try T-Mobile. I like both types of devices but with it's size the Wizard is my phone of choice.

Here is my quick review of the M5000

If you want a pda get one.... if you want a phone, you may find a Rabbit of more use..... seriously..... I have NEVER had a phone SO bad for signal, dropping calls, refusing to answer, just being generally crap as this device.

I am on Device 3 now and as soon as the M600 is launched I will be changing to that one.

DO NOT get an M5000 unless you enjoy peace and quiet!

Unlike the rest of us who seem to have no problem with the Universal (mine's an Exec on Orange) and I've found the signal to be fine.

Yes... I thought JUST that for the first two devices..... the third one was continuing to drop calls.....calls to customers spending £100,000s with me..... couldn't go looking amatuer in front of them..... this device left me in just this position.

Not sure if it the device or Oranges...either way the problem is now solved.... just wonder what to get next?

I'd probably be a bit sceptical myself if I was on my third device....

having read the thread on the Orange ROM update, apparently they are still using V1.03 Radio version. I'm using an O2 Exec which uses V1.04.02 and have no problems so maybe it is Orange's version that has problems but I guess if I was you I probably wouldn't want to risk another Universal.

Hope you have better luck with whatever you try next.

Back in November, I cancelled my upgrade with Orange after three M5000s proved useless for their basic function - receiving phone calls. Most of my incoming calls were going straight to answerphone, even with the phone sitting unobstructed on a table in an area with booming coverage.

Now, in March, I have upgraded again (the M5000 was free, so at least I get to play "bubblebreaker" on the train!). Lo and behold - 5 out of first 7 calls are missed. Orange have no explanation and don't seem particularly interested in the problem.
