I've just re-installed X64 on both my Laptop and desktop and neither of them want to install the drivers for my smartphone.

When "USB Device" appears on the screen, it cannot find any drivers.

I've downloaded and installed Activesync 4.1.

I have a hardware firewall on my router and the AV is currently turned off.

Help!!!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Disconnect the device from the USB cable...

Then re-run the installation file for ActiveSync.

It should then ask if you want to "Re-install, Repair, or remove"

Choose repair (ActiveSync is the beast that installs the device USB drivers you need).

When this is finished it SHOULD tell you a reboot is needed.

Do a reboot no matter what, then after your system is re-booted, connect your device to the cable.

Make sure that:

You use the original USB cable for your device, and you do NOT use a hub, to elimitate any variables...

Let us know...
