Guest marcwic Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 (edited) My MDA Vario often says it has signal but actually it doesn't. Calls go to voicemail, and I cannot make calls. The get round this I have to put the phoneinto flight mode, wait a minute and then turn off flight mode. This is rather pointless, heaven knows this phone would be useless in an emergancy - is it a faulty handset or yet another known issue ? Any one know? Edited April 4, 2006 by marcwic
Guest andysalmon Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 Sorry not a solution, just to let you nd others know I've a similar problem. Every day or so my signal disappears from the display and I cannot make or receive calls. Again, putting in and out of flight mode restores the signal.

(by the way, im getting a wizard, dont have 1 yet) but in the setings you can change its batteryusage, if it is set to higher i think it boosts receiver strength or something...
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 I think this is a generally known problem with any handset (at least htc Windows devices). I have seen this on most handsets I have owned when in a weak signal area.
