But there are two types of unlocking the keyboard. Normal, and with password. Naturally we can't unlock the password protected lock. About the normal keyboard lock, there might be some problems with that, because there is no system API for that. It involves sending some custom messages to the homescreen window, therefore it doesn't have to work on each device. But is it really so painful?
Guest nickcornaglia Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 Great looking app. But please...and I probably speak for many...please make a program that hasn't been made before. Something productive and unique, that we maybe didnt know we needed. Something extraordinary! I dont need another stopwatch, world time program. Keep the great looks this program has as well! Good luch with your company.

Hi rivia, How about posting the new versions (Pocket PC or Smartphone) on the first page? It's a lot easier for users to see the new versions. Thanks, Robert Edited April 25, 2006 by rperalta
Guest rivia Posted April 28, 2006 Report Posted April 28, 2006 Hello! We've just finished working on another beta version. This time it is the last one, so I encourage you to test it as much as you can, so the Smartphone Community could get very solid application! Suggestions Although thiss final beta, any suggestion about missing options are welcome, if they'll be useful/easy to add, we will include them in the Release Version. For example some of you may find that vibrate option is missing - yes, you're right, we will add it in the final release ;). If you can, please test it in 'extreme' conditions, e.g. - in the flight mode - set few alarms that will launch in the same time - Receive a call during timer or Stopwatch running - etc. So any problems in those rather rare situations would be eliminated. Free license code. To receive your license code, please send us your IMEI number - we need this info to generate a Registration ticket. If you didn't find any bugs it would be nice if you would write a sentence or two about what you like/dislike about the application. Even if this would be: "This app is great, I love it!" - such comments are very, very welcome :P. Install instructions 1. Remove previous version of Gentimer from your phone using Settings->Remove Programs menu 2. IMPORTANT!!!! - Manually delete \Program Files\Gentimer (or wherever it is installed) - this step is very important, because the database file is left after unistallation, it must be deleted before installing new version, or you probably get some strange errors. 3. Download PC installer from: http://rivia.net/betatests/GenTimer_Setup.exe or cab file from: http://rivia.net/betatests/Gentimer.CAB 4. Install the application. Please send your bug reports and opinions to support [at] rivia.net . Looking forward to hearing from you and happy testing!

Guest Cenobite_ Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Is the final release different from the latest beta version? 'Cause I'm running the beta version and using it a lot. Really like it.
Guest rivia Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Is the final release different from the latest beta version? 'Cause I'm running the beta version and using it a lot. Really like it. Yes, although the final release was quite stable. But still, I recomend, that you upgrade to release version - it is more stable, works on application locked phones and has some bug fixes and enhacements. I don't know which beta version are you using, but you will probably loose your settings, alarms etc - we've changed that a bit (even if it ask you to store the settings). The best thing to do is to fully uninstall the application, remove \Program Files\Gentimer folder, and then install the release version. Final release will preserve your setting when you upgrade to later versions.
Guest A.Hughes Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 Hey guys at rivia, great application, but sorry to be so forward. What happened to the free copy for all beta testers,,,,,,,, Thanks, congratulations on your release
Guest rivia Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 Hey guys at rivia, great application, but sorry to be so forward. What happened to the free copy for all beta testers,,,,,,,, Thanks, congratulations on your release Hi, I'm sorry for all the problems/delays with registration codes. We've sent an email to each beta tester describing what to do, to receive free registration code, but it looks like it didn't reach everyone. Its not the first time the email didn't reach the receipient so we changed our hosting server. Hopefuly that will end email problems. We will resend the information to all the beta testers, but all of you who didn't receive anything, please send us an email to support [at] rivia.net, and we will send you registration instructions. I'll post the info about the beta here, and in separate thread. The main things we will add are: Pocket PC version and skin support. So stay tuned! -- Best Wishes, Mateusz Grzegorzek
