Guest Johnny C Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 I got an XDA Exec last week. Connected to the PC via USB fine, transferred everything important (Outlook, Doom) Today I connected it up, but activeSync says 'Connecting' and stays there. Tried runniong activeSync on both PC and XDA, sits there saying connecting and nothing else happens. Device Mgr doesn't say there are any problems; windows XP( home) knows it's connected as it dings when I plug and unplug the XDA, but it won't rinish connecting. I've removed ActiveSync 4.1 and reinstalled it, no joy. I've got Macafee, checked out the 'permitted programs' and the right ones are in there. Checked Network settings, and the mobile device is there and the right boxes are ticked. Can anyone give me any help? Cheers!
Guest Johnny C Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 So I rebooted the PC and now it can't detect it at all. AS says 'Your device was not detected'. I've tried it with and without AS on the XDA, I've plugged and unplugged it till the cows come home Any more ideas?
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 Try deleting the partnership and see what happens. Interestingly I've started having similar problems since trying to upgrade my C500 ROM this week (thought it was about time).
