SMT5600 Charging/Syncing Problems

Basically, my smt5600 has been out of commission for months, but recently I found a product that charges the battery, not the phone. So now that the phones back in commisson, there is no way to sync files. Mp3s, themes etc. What the heck can I do? Everytime I plug that cable in it does nothing. The major reason I need to plug it in is because I want to roll back the wm5 beta I did very very long ago, or put a better version that isn't test build only with major amounts of bugs. If there is anything I could do, or a part that I could replace, someone pleaseee inform me. I mean I love the phone to death, it just never worked 100% for me ;)
