Guest bhayani Posted May 19, 2006 Report Share Posted May 19, 2006 Hi Guys had my vario for a few days and am not as pleased as i could be. i had a motorola A1000 with three which did everything but no WIFI or keyboard. This vario is good but runs so slow, i have hard reset it, removed all the programs from it and installed them to my storage card and make sure programs are not running n the background. making calls is annoying if you have to wait for the machine to catch up. Is there a better firmware out there that I as a T-mobile UK user can install? can we use roms from other branded machines. any help would be appreciated. It is not recommended using uncertified ROM's for mobiles that it is not designed for even though it maybe the same "line" of products - there is no guarentee if it will work and even if it does - the warrenty would be void incase of any problems. When did you purchase the MDA Vario? How old is it? What is the firmware on it? you may need to reload the firmware.... try it and see what happens ;) Do a hard reset then straight away reload the firmware Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I noticed a serious improvement in performance as well better battery life. Or you could wait for the new T-Mobile one which should be due out quite soon. I have summiters cingular rom with manually entered gprs settings, a few reg hacks, and no wifi. I will leave it alone until something better comes along. I really miss my A1000 symbian.
