I ordered one for the holidays, I hope it works on the C500!

heh, I used to have a c500, was only aware it would support 1gig. Might be worth checking out the manual.

You will find most manuals state the largest available card at the time.

It's a matter of trial and error, the same goes with compatability issues with different makes.

My C500 just picked up my 2GB Sandisk miniSD so would think you should be ok with it

I hope to god it does use all 2gb of it! Especially when I could have got a 1gb for half the price. <_

I got my card from the one I found this morning but been having a problem with the card. It does work, my XDA mini S does see all 2gb of the card but the card seems to be a little thicker, perhaps because of the label on it, which courses it to stick when I take it out.

They tried to deliver mine today (not in) by interlink express. Card left that they will not try again, I will have to pick it up from the depot, a mere 25 miles away!!!! I may as well have drove to Brum and picked it up from BigPockets! Tried to phone Interlink Express but only open 9 - 6........ B*ll*cks!!

By the time I add the cost of picking it up, it will not be a deal.

BIGPOCKET stop using this crap delivery company.

got my datawrite 2gb from svp yesterday - DIDN'T WORK!

the c550 didn't like it and all my readers are having trouble writing to it. it's going back tomorrow.

Well I have it - BUT

It seems very slow - slower than the sandisk 1gb

It is thicker than normal - which is no problem for the SPV c600, but is a little tight in the Vario

When I pushed it in the adapter it bent the pins within the adapter !!

Me thinks I will do some more speed tests, and if it is slower than stated, it can go back.

Is there a way to accurately measure the speed of cards?

Hi all, I got a 2GB Datawrite mini SD card from Big Pockets.

It doesn't work in my vario but works phone in my friends SPV phone.

Her 512 meg card works fine in my phone....

Does anyone have any ideas how to get it working in my phone.

Cheers

Does your phone have the capability of running a 2GB card?

My brother recently bought a Samsung camera that suprisingly wouldn't recognise anything over 512MB, perhaps you have the same problem?

It works perfectly in my Vario - which ROM are you using?

When I had my 2GB from mobymemory I had to format it first as it did not work correctly in my Vario when I first put it in.

One format later than it worked all ok.

Also make sure you use a good card reader to format it, quite a few older readers can not see the card properly. The one built into my laptop did not like it but my moby usb2 miniSD card reader worked fine.

OK. i sent the non-functioning datawrite card back for a refund.

in the meanwhile i bought a mobymemory 2GB card (complete with compatible reader) which is specifically advertised as working with the c550

http://www.mobymemory.com/proddetail.asp?p...BUNDLEBUY%5F001

after copying the contents of my old 1GB card to the new 2GB one everything initially seemed to work OK .. but,

now when i try to open jpeg images off the card with file manager, the album app throws an error message "file format jpeg not supported"

????

i replace my old card and try to load the same file and everything is OK again.

any ideas anybody?

Well, my Vario doesnt seem to recognise it, My memory reader does not recognise it. however my SPV c500 does. is it possible to format it on the C500?
