Guest SilentBob Posted July 1, 2006 Report Posted July 1, 2006 Hi, After having my Vario for a couple of months now, for the first time I have been asked to bluetooth a couple of files to someone. However, when I went into the file manager there did not appear to be an option to send via bluetooth. I couldn't find anything else on the device that would do the same. I find it incredible that they would still not provide this functionality. Made me look a tit after still trying to convince people of how good these Windows based smartphones are. Anyway, is there really no way, as standard, to send files over BT? If there is, then how? If not, then what is available in order for me to do this? I do have a copy of Smart Explorer which I used on my SPV E200. Is this compatible with WM5? Or is there a WM5 version? Many thanks in anticipation.

Sniper also can send and receive files over BT.
Guest mandt Posted July 1, 2006 Report Posted July 1, 2006 1. Turn on bluetooth in comms manager 2. Browse to the file you want to send in file explorer 3. Tap and hold, select 'beam file' and the device will also search Bluetooth devices Simple really
Guest SilentBob Posted July 1, 2006 Report Posted July 1, 2006 Doh! Cheers mandt. A bit misleading methinks. It says "beam" which made me automatically think IR. Then when it opened it just said IR and searching is greyed out. So I didn't even give it a chance. That'll teach me. Sniper sounds goood though. You can send multiple files with it?!
Guest SilentBob Posted July 1, 2006 Report Posted July 1, 2006 Multiple files with Smart Explorer too? I think I will start using that again.
Guest Corax Posted July 1, 2006 Report Posted July 1, 2006 (edited) Yeah, Sniper has browser function, first select directory, then select files to send. I use it on WM5 smartphone edition (HTC tornado), so version for Wizard may differ a bit. P.S. Smart Explorer also allow to send multiple selected files. Edited July 1, 2006 by Corax
