Guest Wozbacca Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 no idea what CSF stands for unfortunately i'm on orange premier 600 i think... HTH
Guest philg2000 Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 Just to clarify, I just spoke to OCS and this can ONLY be added to your account if you have a 3G handset!
Guest MARKUKCOUK Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 Just to clarify, I just spoke to OCS and this can ONLY be added to your account if you have a 3G handset! CSF is the customer services software that runs on their computers* :) so its not really that helpful. *According to the OCS Rep I just spoke to. Heres what I posted in the Hermes forum... Having seen the latest developments with orange data, I rung them to find out some info about the M3100 - it looks nicer than the vario II version. Anyway, orange will upgrade me, without a fee, despite the fact my contract doesnt expire until January! He also said I could have pretty much any phone for free - I suspect the M3100 wont be free but hey! I spend a lot, but weirdly, im on an old
Guest hotphil Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 I hope you got the guy's name.... Somehow I think that you'll have trouble getting them to honour that when it comes to the crunch.

Guest djboo Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 i dont know if anyone cares but ive posted orange's sneaky advertising on a digg like site thats just for mobile phones... http://www.phonetribe.co.uk/article.asp?id=975 hopefully enough attention can be brought to it for orange to take notice.
Guest danwatson1974 Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 He actually took my number and said he would phone me when the m3100 is out. Good luck with that :)

Guest drblow Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 I just thought I'd add my experiences here ... for a laugh, you know!?! I phoned OCS last night & spoke to a nice young man who informed me that O did not offer any kind of 'unlimited' gprs bundle. I then phoned back a few minutes later once I had the web address with the T&C from above in this thread. The nice young lady I spoke to on that occassion also informed me that there was no such unlimited bundle, so I gave her the web address details - which of course she could not find. I mentioned that some people here had been sent a text message inviting them to take up this offer, which was available to Panther & premier call tarrifs (I have premier 600). She immediately latched onto this as a reason why I could not get the bundle as it was "by invitation only". I expressed my concern that as a high end user (my average monthly bill is around
Guest NikLP Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 (edited) Well I tell thee this, I'm not on Panther or Premier. I don't expect to have to be paying shedloads per month just to be offered a service which I can get elsewhere (on bloody PaYG fer chrissakes!). I've been an O customer since 1998, and if they don't cough up a Hermes for nothing and offer me this I'm bloody well jumping ship. I WISH SOMEONE FROM ORANGE WAS READING THIS! The dastards. Guest Wozbacca Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 (edited) The same young lady then phoned me back about 5 minutes later, apologising profusely for not investigating the matter more thoroughly, and said that there IS an unlimited data bundle, it IS Edited August 7, 2006 by Wozbacca
Guest mandt Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 all i can say, is be careful. dont hammer the gprs until you see on your bill that you havent been charged good advice
Guest NikLP Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 The idiocy that is OCS is enough to make you puke, really.
Guest pd.ryder Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 I'm gonna give OCS a ring myself this afternoon. I'm not a Panther nor a Premier customer and I cuss if my bill is over
Guest sili Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 I too was promised that I would get told that I would get a text to confirm the 'Orange World Unlimited Bundle' but got nothing, I phoned and ocs said it is activated on my account. I wasn't aware that it was only for the 'orange world intranet' only!. I used to have the 'orange world 4mb' and I was able to go on other internet sites and I was never charged extra. The T&C doesn't say it's only for 'orange world intranet'. http://www1.orange.co.uk/ow2/ & http://www1.orange.co.uk/ow1/ Anyway, my billing date is the 12th so when i get my next bill, I'll let you guys know!

I go back to my concern at the wording of clause 2 where it states, "Unlimited WAP browsing". Hope you have your internet connection set to Orange WAP............
Guest Confucious Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 I have a feeling that you are crediting Orange with more nous than they have. I don't think they know the difference between Orange World and the "internet" or which connection you are using. I could be wrong but....
Guest Saif Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 I go back to my concern at the wording of clause 2 where it states, "Unlimited WAP browsing". Hope you have your internet connection set to Orange WAP............ this is just becoming ridiculous now... I'm willing to wait till till T and O sort out the release of their respective Hermes variants but beyong that I'm going to just move to T... unless O can provide a satisfactory 'Janet/John speak' version of the T's&C's. to be honest... at this rate...I should start thinking about a blackberry and just move over to T!!! It'll still give me all I need (basc browsing, email and IM)
