Please note: This is an msmobiles-sanitised news posting. It should now contain correct english, and all references to "activesync over wifi whine whine" and "MS won't give me a MVP whine whine more" have been removed.

Robbie Bach, president of Microsoft's entertainment and devices division, said devices running the company's Windows Mobile operating system are "doing well" against RIM's BlackBerry devices.

Although Windows Mobile is not yet beating RIM BlackBerry or Symbian, Microsoft appear happy to have gained upwards of 10% in the fairly short time the product has been available - at least in the smartphone arena.

Clearly there is still a long way to go to get anywhere near Symbians 80% share, but for now, it seems BlackBerry is the target.
