Guest dave106 Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 i noticed vistablissone doesnt include a landscape background, leaves grey areas either side. it is easy enough to mod the tsk to include one?
Guest mpc5473 Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 thanks for the battery replacement cab. After install of the cab, is there another step? I cant seem to get it to replace the battery icon. thanks, mike
Guest jimbouk Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Turn the device off completely and then restart it.
Guest pd.ryder Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 (edited) Please don't move or remove this thread :) It's likely to be a while until I get the 3100 and if I d/l all the apps now they'll be updated or simply bettered by the time I need 'em (sods law!) ;) :D Edited August 13, 2006 by pd.ryder
Guest unfitguy Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 Keep up the good work man, picked up my M3100 today 49.99 on upgrade. I cant wait for it to finish charging
Guest nedge2k Posted August 13, 2006 Report Posted August 13, 2006 you know you can still use it while its charging right? :)
Guest MARKUKCOUK Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 you know you can still use it while its charging right? ;) and that all HTC devices come charged anyway :)
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 Only if the battery has not been sitting on a shelf for too long :) Still good to give it a top up charge of around four hours, and it should show a full charge before that time though.

Cheers. I tried to copy HTC Green Theme onto my Wizard (I have not made the great leap forward, just waiting for the TMobile Vario II) but no way. I got an error message ;) No problem with the MoDaCo tweaked VistaBliss theme though. Any idea why? Surely the HTC Green Theme tsk file should install on any win mobile 2005 device :)
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 Strange :) I'll try it on my Prophet and see if it works. P [Edit: Tried on my Prophet (copied the .tsk to 'My Documents') and it works fine! ;)]

P [Edit: Tried on my Prophet (copied the .tsk to 'My Documents') and it works fine! ;)] well, does not work on mine :D it says make sure the file is not protected, that you have enough space blah blah blah... I'lkl try from my work pc tomorrow
Guest matho Posted August 14, 2006 Report Posted August 14, 2006 well, does not work on mine :) it says make sure the file is not protected, that you have enough space blah blah blah... I'lkl try from my work pc tomorrow I had the same problem, but got round it by copying the whole .zip file onto the phone and then used the phone's ZIP utility to extract the .tsk into My Documents. Worked a treat and I've now got a nice gaudy green theme on my phone!
Guest Mewcenary Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 Thanks a lot for this post. The Battery stuff is awesome, and the Wireless Today plug-in is really useful. One thing that was annoying me with the M3100 default setup was how fiddly it was to turn wireless on and off.

One thing that was annoying me with the M3100 default setup was how fiddly it was to turn wireless on and off. Surely it was (and still is) "push comm mgr button, click on wireless" ? (especially as clicking on the netui/wireless plug in doesnt open com mgr anyway)
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 I'm adding new stuff all the time, so remember to keep checking back :) P
Guest h3adl0ng Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 I'm adding new stuff all the time, so remember to keep checking back ;) P Have you had time to look at the landscape issue on the vistablissone theme yet? Cheers! :)
Guest jimbouk Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 Have you had time to look at the landscape issue on the vistablissone theme yet? Cheers! :) You can simply load your own suitable pic on to the device and then click the USE THIS PICTURE AS BACKGROUND Option.

Guest mcwarre Posted August 15, 2006 Report Posted August 15, 2006 (edited) thanks, still not working thou... Is that because you have a K-Jam and not a hermes?? (doesn't work on my K-Jam either) Edited August 15, 2006 by mcwarre
Guest coercri Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 Is there anyway to remove the Orange today screen customisation? I always like a clean machine myself
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 Other than just going into the Today settings and turning it off? You could hard reset then break out before it installs the EXTROM, but then you'd be missing other stuff too. P
