M3100 does it ring when it's gone to sleep?

A fairly basic question.

The default set-up has the device 'turn off' after 2 minutes inactivity.

If I get a text or call when it's in this state, will the phone notify me?

If not, seems strange that this should be the default. Surely loadsa people will miss calls and texts?

I would try, but I currently have no reception.

As with all windows mobile devices, the phone element remains fully functioning when the device is in stand by.

Direct push and scheduled mail syncs continue in the background as well.
