But for no reason now it launches the volume control. its doing this on IE also which is a real pain. what am I doing wrong and how can I fix this? sent from my M3100!
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 23, 2006 Report Posted August 23, 2006 Weird :D I'd like to be able to use the wheel to control volume while on the Today screen! P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 23, 2006 Report Posted August 23, 2006 That's 'weird problem', not u btw :D P
Guest jimbouk Posted August 23, 2006 Report Posted August 23, 2006 Have you remapped any buttons that may have interfered with this or tried to the paging up and down reg hack for Internet Explorer?
Guest Saif Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 P - no offence taken :D Jim - not fiddled with any remapping I did a coupld of resets and then it sorted itself out... I can't figure out why it was doing this... I agree that it can be really useful on the home screen. From my understanding this is meant to be the default function when on call but not whilst being used in general... if it happens again i'll post more detailed circumstance... needless to say its bloody annoying!

I've not owned a HTC product before, are these regular??
Guest jimbouk Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Most WM devices exhibit some weird behaviour but whether thats down to the OS or the fact that we can all muck about with settings, download apps, tweak registry - is debatable.
Guest Snoopstah Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Off topic *slightly* here, but does anyone know if it's possible to alter the behaviour of the wheel when viewing e-mail? Currently it hops between hotlinks, which are usually so far and few between that it makes reading the e-mail impossible. I'd far rather it just scrolled the e-mail window. Can this be done?
Guest jecuk Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 I just started to get this as well. It just began wit hthe scroll wheel doing volume no matter what app I am in. A soft reset fixed.
Guest Dr Who Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 I'd like to use the scroll wheel to quickly go through contacts as detailed in this post http://www.modaco.com/Scrolling-through-co...ts-t246186.html Anyone?
