Does anyone know if a 4gb mini SD card will work with the Vario II? Or is that just not happening?

But I watched this seller carely before becoming a guinea pig. They had very few negatives and very few horror stories.

I made a similar choice -

No. MiniSD is a physically bigger card than microSD and won't fit in the slot.

Anyway - I'll see how it works. No idea if it's FAT or FAT32 yet, so I might format it as FAT32 and see if it's stable.

Some home-made benchmarks based on some quick tests on my PC's SD-card reader - I copied some MP3s over until the disc was full, and took a few measurements. For 396 MP3s and a FAT32 format:

Total file size (ie. usable storage): 1.88Gb, 396 files

Write speed : 25Mbps

Read speed : 71Mbps

Not sure how good that is?

It does have Sandisk marking on it, but whether this is genuine, I have no idea. See attached photo on what it looks like (courtesy of the Hermes' camera  ).

Anyway, I'll see how it works with the phone....

Does anybody know what the difference is between the 2GB microSD and the 2GB microSD Ultra II cards?

Will the Ultra II give problems running on the Vario II?

Thanks.... :)

The ultra II are faster but I am not sure that the Vario II can take advantage of it?

Was wondering if people had heard about this?

Would the Vario II support a 4gb Micro SD card?

how well does the hermes handle with a 2gb micro ultra II as far as recording video and the audio syncing fine? is a high speed card even needed or will it do just fine with a normal card?

I'd watch out, all three cards I've had mount and unmount randomly. Don't spend a lot of cash because you won't be able to rely on when the card will work.
