Guest finisterre Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 When my Vario II arrives, what can't it do as a result of not having this button that the M3100 has? (Not that I intend to make any video calls EVER - well maybe I'll try it once for fun).
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 Er, it does have that button I think? :D P
Guest The Doctor Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 Er, it does have that button I think? :D P Nope. Was as suprised as you are paul when i played around with one in the tmob shop. The area is raised but there isnt a video call icon or any ability to push it down like a button. Its just there. No fuction whatsoever. Phil

Phil well i am sure there is a videocall button on the onscreen dialpad...and thus it's absence won't actually stop anyone enjoying videocalls with their friends.
Guest randomelements Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 That's right - the video call button is present on the dialpad. The raised area the Doctor was referring to seems to be to "protect" the green call button.
Guest AdWright Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 I noticed this 'missing' button only after reading Paul's review of the Orange M3100.. I don't think that many people will miss it, as it isn't hard to press the video call button in the phone screen once you have found your number to call. For those who were wondering, here is a pic from Paul's review showing the button on the M3100. On the Vario II, it is just a piece of immobile sliver plastic.
